Scaffolding Safety Requirements

The construction industry has grown considerably in recent years. It has given rise to many scaffolding rental VT companies too since everyone understands the need for scaffolding equipment and safety. If you are working on having them too, here are some of the safety requirements to keep on check.
  1. Personal Fall Arrest Systems
Most of the accidents that have been reported from the use of scaffolding are caused by falling, tripping, or slipping. If there are no properly installed personal fall arrest systems, the workers may find it hard to switch from one level to the other without risking falling. It is, therefore, the responsibility of the site managers to ensure they are in place and as many as possible.
  1. Erect on Firm Ground
The other requirement to observe is making sure every equipment is erected on firm ground. The ground should also be sturdy and free of flooding water, or soil erosion as the equipment may be rendered weak.
  1. Proper Inspection
The other important bit is to ensure the equipment are inspected often. Ideally, they should be inspected after every use or several days a week. This will help to troubleshoot any malfunction or fault they may have developed.
